FRAGER
Haiti is the world’s leading producer of Vetiver essential oil for perfumery and aromatherapy.
With 4 production units, 48 stills and more than 160 employees, FRAGER supplies an average of 40 tons of essences per year, i.e. approximately 60% of Haiti’s production.
Created in 1958 by Franck Léger, this company is located in the plain of Cayes, in the southern department of Haiti, and has been managed since 1984 by his son Pierre Léger, an agricultural engineer. He is responsible for the modernisation of the structures and production methods.
His long-standing expertise guarantees the respect of a high standard of product quality right from the start of cultivation. FRAGER works with more than 30,000 local farming families for the supply of vetiver roots, which provide its factory with raw material.
Pierre Léger is committed to the development of the community in the South, in the training of young people, in particular the awarding of scholarships and the creation of a primary school. A training and technological research centre is also being created in 2018.
